Title :Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City
Platforms :Super NES
Publisher :Electronic Arts
Game Rating :n/a

Electronic Arts must be hoping that "Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City" will sell as a result of the name, as it just barely stands on its own.

You may be surprised to learn that this is neither a basketball nor a baseball game. Instead, it falls in the action category as Michael Jordan treks across Chicago in a quest to save his teammates from the evil Dr. Cranius Maximus (who happens to look like a demented Barkley). Guide Michael through a dozen hectic levels while avoiding floating eyeballs, zombies with balls for heads, and gargantuan spiders.

Unbelievable? Sure. How about this: the health power-ups are Wheaties and Gatorade. How's that for blatant advertising?

The game incorporates passwords, but no continues. Finishing the entire game on a few lives is a near impossibility. Challenge is a real turn-off here.

The graphics themselves are good, but overly small. Still, some good animation is present. Music is always in the background, and plays almost no role in the game value.

Controls handle well, making it a snap to switch between the many varied types of basketballs available as weapons and then slam-dunk one into a nearby item basket.

Go ahead and try this one, but be cautious. The Windy City doesn't have much going for it. Best let this one blow out of town.

Hints: Use password MCHLJRDN-23 for 25 lives and stage select.  Use password 12345678999 for 73 lives and stage select.  Use password 99999999999 for 93 lives and halfway point.
